A quick follow-up on last month's moose hunt...
To begin with, thanks again. You did your job well and we had a great experience, took home some fine pictures and memories and plenty of delicious moose steaks, burger and sausage.
Your pre-season scouting work was the critical success factor. You definitely took us to the right location to score. By my count, we saw 18 moose including three impressive bulls, in our three days of hunting. Getting a decent shot was another matter, the guy who said shooting a moose is like shooting a Buick doesn't have a clue.
You worked hard, tried a variety of different tactics and adjusted our plans as the situation changed to get that opportunity for us. Early on the morning of day three, it all paid off.
The moose did not come easily; this was certainly not a road hunt. I really appreciate the fact that your method is to go into the woods and find the game. We did this hunt the right way; walking, stalking and thanks to your skill, persistence and patience, finally getting the shot at what I discovered is a very cautious, elusive and magnificent big game animal.
Last and certainly not least, you were well prepared for the very difficult job of getting the moose out of the woods, hung, quartered and ultimately delivered to the butcher.
Happy holidays, we'll see you for next year's turkey season.
All the best,
Don Gourley

Hi Scott,
I just wanted to say thanks for a great hunt and a great time! My first hunt and I had a bird by 9:30 am the first morning, this hunting stuff is easy! LOL If I don't make the fall hunt, I can't wait till next spring, see ya then, and again thanks. Dave

Scott,
I can't thank you enough. You have made my hunting always a success and I have learned so much from you. Every hunt with you has been more than memorable, especially when you told me where the bear were and that you'd see me at the end of the day; at noon I decided to go for lunch. The walk out was ok, but then when I went to go back in I thought to myself.... What the hell did he get me into. The next trip in the morning when I had to go in solo I thought to myself again.... who is this nut to go after bear and walk into "their world" with only a few rounds in the gun and a side arm that would just make them mad if I missed with the rifle....pops, of course. Then again I thought lets make pops happy, so on I went looking over my shoulder the whole way in. Most of all if it wasn't for you and your family I don't think I would have ever had the chance to even see a bear in the wild because it is a long ride up north and back home in one day. You both have made it easier for me to enjoy your neck of the woods. As I said before, THANK YOU for EVERYTHING you have ever done for me, I couldn't ask for a better friend. If it weren't for you I'd never be into hunting as much as I am. I can also thank you for puting me into debt, it seems that ever since you took me out for the first time that every year I have to spend crazy money on something new for hunting whether I need it or not. I think..... yeah pops would buy this....lol. Well, once again thank you for all you and your family have done for me. Hope to see you soon so I can also hold your hand and put you onto some nice bucks.....J/K..... oh wait, ain't that the other way around!!!
